Here is my old Frex GP V1 wheel
I brought it used from another user on iRacing in May 2011.
Saw it advertised and just had to have it and try it for myself.
Would high end make a difference ? well if you don’t try you will never know.
Remember this was 2011, the difference in this wheel is the weight with the wheel feel
this wheel is direct so there is No play in the centre, movement is instant, so again made me more consistent and precise.
But version 1 of the wheel of which this is has problems with bending the Small Screw bar, the smaller of the 2 bars.
Once it bends, and you cant see it But you will feel it with lock ups and the likes.
You will then need a new small screw from Japan and some other bits that will cost about £150 to fix.
So my wheel is sat here as a retro paper weight.
I now use a Thrust Master T500 and it is VERY close to a frex in feel at the centre, so i have not repaired the Frex.
